Eight International With Two New Partners In Germany, Switzerland & Belgium

Eight International, a global advisory organisation specializing in transactions, restructuring, transformation and financial enginnering, has appointed two new Partners.

Christian Van Craeyvelt has been appointed partner of Eight Advisory Brussels office in the Transaction Tax department. Johannes Steinel is appointed partner in the Frankfurt and Zurich offices’ Restructuring practice of Eight Advisory.

Christian Van Craeyvelt, 37 years old, has been appointed Partner in the Transaction Tax team of Eight Advisory, Brussels. Christian has joined Eight Advisory after spending more than 13 years in a Big4 context. He established the transaction tax practice in Belgium which he has been heading since then. Christian worked across a broad range of sectors and served numerous international corporate and private equity clients. He also spent two years in New York City. He is a Belgian chartered tax consultant and holds a Master degree in Law, a specific Master degree in Tax and a post-graduate degree in Corporate Finance.

Johannes Steinel, 50 years old, has been appointed Partner in the Restructuring team of Eight Advisory in Frankfurt and Zurich. Prior to joining Eight Advisory, Johannes served as Restructuring Partner at two of the Big4. He also worked for the American restructuring boutique AlixPartners, the Swiss private equity group Capvis, as well as Deutsche Bank Group. Johannes has 25 years of experience in financial and operational restructuring, performance improvement, liquidity management, and private equity. He provides holistic and sustainable value creation and turnaround solutions to his clients in special situations, notably for industrial and PE-owned companies, and assumes interim manager or CRO roles. Johannes graduated with distinction in Economics from LMU München and serves as guest teacher at INSEAD.
