We are delighted to inform that Eight Advisory, a pan-European arm of Eight International continues to expand in Germany as it arrives in Cologne. It’s a further sign of the regional growth accompanying our member’s international expansion. The new office increases Eight Advisory’s presence in Germany, supplementing offices in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.

In January 2022 we have also arrived in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region, which has increased our presence in France, supplementing offices in Paris, Lyon, Nantes and Rennes.

The Eight Advisory Cologne office will be headed by Curt-Oliver Luchtenberg, who joined Eight Advisory together with some other highly experienced colleagues and will lead the Transformation practice in Germany. This already strong team will also be able to call on the expertise of the 600 Eight Advisory professionals based in the firm’s different offices.

Curt-Oliver Luchtenberg, 50, has been committed to strategy, transformation and restructuring consulting since his studies at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel. After his first years in the strategy team of Mitchell Madison Group and in the restructuring team of Roland Berger, he continued his career at a Big 4’s Operational Transaction Services practice as well as at another Big 4’s Strategy group. There, Curt-Oliver recently headed the Industrial Manufacturing sector team within Deal Advisory as well as the Cologne office of the Strategy Group.

Curt-Oliver has from an operational perspective led notable spin-offs, carve-outs, integrations and strategy projects for world-renowned clients such as Siemens Energy, E.ON, Liberty Global, Lanxess, HeidelbergCement and Deutsche Bahn, as well as assisting countless medium-sized companies and private equity clients with exciting and sometimes complex transformations.

Curt-Oliver states that “No other transaction advisory firm has such a broad and deep range of solutions and services to offer, while being as experienced, independent, focused and flexible as Eight Advisory. It has always been my central guiding principle to support my clients only to the extent they really need assistance – of course without disregarding professional and substantive necessities. With Eight Advisory, I finally found a team that is fully aligned on these principles.”

We intend to continue strengthening our Transformation practice to have a leading role in the European market.”

“We are thrilled that Curt-Oliver is joining us as Transformation Partner in Germany. His proven experience in dealing with significant deals will strengthen our team and improve our market coverage.” said Michael Wahl, the country leader of Germany.
