Eight Advisory underpins its rapid growth with the opening of the second office in Germany. Marc Niclas joins Eight Advisory as Partner in charge of managing and developing the Munich office.

Paris, October 15th 2019: Eight Advisory, a leading independent Transactions, Restructuring and Transformation consulting firm, opens in Munich its second office in Germany to further fuel growth in the German speaking region and to underpin its expansion ambition. The Munich office of Eight Advisory will be headed by Marc Niclas and is planned to rapidly reach 10 professionals.

Marc Niclas has more than 12 years of national and international audit and consulting experience with a focus on M&A transactions for corporate and private equity clients.

More recently, Marc Niclas was responsible for one of the Big Four, for leading and executing financial due diligence projects with a focus on medium-sized private equity houses and corporate investors. In addition, he was responsible for the coordination of international project teams and of various specialist teams such as tax, operations, carve-out and strategy teams. During a two-year secondment in Budapest, Hungary, he was jointly responsible for developing and strengthening the transaction services team. Marc Niclas started his career performing statutory audits, during which time he passed his German tax advisor and German chartered accountant exams.

Marc Niclas believes that “Clients expect their advisors to accompany them through the entire transaction process, answering their comprehensive questions with the help of the experts they need. This requires an extensive understanding of the entire transaction process, which I have gained through my broad project experience from M&A to buy side and sell side due diligence projects. It is not important for the client, which expert is responsible for which topic, but that a solution is delivered from a single point of contact. Eight Advisory focuses on transaction advisory services preventing any conflicts and independence issues caused by audit and other regulated activities. Eight Advisory thus combines all advantages of an agile mid-sized organization with the skills of a leading international consulting firm: professionalism, flexibility and short distances”.

“The opening of the office in Munich strengthens our presence in this very dynamic region in Germany, where many of our clients are based.” said Eric Demuyt, Managing Director of Eight Advisory.

Michael Wahl, Managing Director of Eight Advisory Germany GmbH, comments: “With Marc Niclas we were able to win another very talented Partner, who will further strengthen our transaction services capabilities. With our new location we will be closer to our clients in Munich, which will significantly improve our market coverage. I am very much looking forward working with Marc”.
