Polish transaction advisory firm JP Weber has in recent months bolstered its team in Warsaw with five new hires.

Piotr Kucharczyk and Tomasz Bartoszek are the most senior of the quintet, both have been appointed Director. The latter joined from Big Four accounting and consulting firm EY, where he spent eight years, latterly serving as a Senior Manager. In the role, he led the tax work stream for deals closed by corporate clients as well as private equity clients. Earlier in his career, the law graduate worked for the Polish Footballers’ Union – an association that promotes the interest of professional football players in Poland.

Kucharczyk focuses on the corporate finance and transaction support side of deals. He has during his career been involved with over a dozen international and domestic mergers & acquisitions. He previously led the Polish office of CMT Advisory, one of the country’s leading player in the landscape with a team of 30 dedicated to deals. Earlier in his career, he worked for the local arm of professional services firm HLB. At JP Weber, Kucharczyk supports M&A processes, with a focus on financial support and valuation.

Tomasz Manowiec joined the M&A consultancy from the financial services industry. At Noble Funds, he was head of the institution’s equity offering, and previously worked as an investment fund manager, and before that Manowiec spent two years at the Polish division of French banking group BNP Paribas. At JP Weber, he specialises in mergers & acquisitions, due diligence and company valuation.

Maciej Pyszczek has been poached from Polish professional services firm CSWP, a member firm of global network Geneva Group International. At the firm, he gained experience in audit and transaction advisory, and was a team member on numerous due diligence and valuation projects. He joined JP Weber in May.

Rounding off the recent intake, Artur Chamot is a specialist in merger & acquisition tax. He has around eight years of experience in the field, having completed several tax advisory, transfer pricing and restructuring engagements across a wide range of sectors, including development, logistics and telecommunications. He previously worked in the legal industry and as an independent consultant. 

All five advisors are based in JP Weber’s Warsaw office, which is the firm’s largest locale, ahead of its other hubs in Wroclaw and Berlin. Across its footprint, the advisory group – part of the Eight International network – has a team of 60 business and tax advisors, lawyers and analysts.
