Independent Business Review (IBR)

An Independent Business Review (IBR) delivers an unbiased snapshot of the company’s finances and structure, enabling swift, effective decision-making with strategic and financial impact.

The problem

Turbulent economic conditions can push even operationally sound businesses into financial strain, struggling with cash flows, debt servicing, or other obligations. In these cases, concerned banks, creditors, or stakeholders often commission an IBR to obtain a candid view of a company’s historic, current, and projected financial performance and quickly gauge the company’s ability to meet repayment obligations.

Management may also initiate an IBR for an impartial assessment of the company’s financial health or operational capabilities.

Our solution

Eight International delivers IBRs, evaluates bounce-back scenarios, and identifies essential resources to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities.

Through our IBRs:

  • We deliver a complete, independent financial diagnosis to facilitate negotiations among all settlement stakeholders.
  • We facilitate exchanges and negotiations with financial partners to secure new financing or sustain existing credit lines, especially amid economic challenges.
  • We conduct due diligence that illuminates overall financial health, including business plan and projected cash flow reviews; modelling refinancing impacts on cash flows and bank covenants; and assessing the company’s financial position in debt refinancing contexts.
